Curtis and I have been in dialoge about the cross event... how it's so much more than an event. What a tradegy it is to reduce the cross of Christ to a historical event. present crucifix. present risenness. It is the Jesus on the cross who is dying with, suffering with, screaming to the father "eloi eloi, lama sabachthan." And we join with Him in "grief work"... in a broken world. It's friday, but sunday is coming... the kingdom of God is now, but it is not yet.
