still dealing lately with the move from relevance to prayer...
Henri Nouwen makes it sound somewhat glamourous in "In The Name of Jesus"
open and vulnerable and I've been taking some hits lately at work (sbux)
my friend who doesn't love Jesus is an angry kid who doesn't know what to do with all her newfound power (shift-sup.) --comes down pretty hard on me. she's 21. she's in darkness.
I need grace. I need love - the agape kind::aka::stupid love for my friend

Lord,
make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is descord, union.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; To be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we recieve;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen
-St. Francis of Asissi
